Well, the seat belt law took a thrashing and, for a time, it appears that New Hampshire may continue to demonstrate our independence over the Federal encroachment of seizing power (at least) over our roads. Saying “no thank you” to the three million dollar payoff by the Feds to become the fiftieth state to have mandatory seat belt laws, 16 of our Senators voted to represent the Citizens of New Hampshire rather than roll over to “other” interests. I, Therefore, want to thank those Senators who voted for us. Those 16 Senators have demonstrated they were willing to “represent” their constituents - the people of our state. After all, it’s not enough to bark at them when we’re angry, it’s also very important to let them know when we approve of their actions on our behalf!
The list of those Senators who are with us includes John Barnes, Peter Bragdon, Jacalyn Cilley, Robert Clegg, Lou D’Allesandro, Betsi DeVries, Mike Downing, Joseph Foster, John Gallus, Theodore Gatsas, Joseph Kenney, Sylvia Larsen, Robert Letourneau, Bob Odell, Deborah Reynolds & Sheila Roberge. If one of these folks is your Senator please tell them “Thanks”! (Notice I haven’t mentioned what party they are from because when these people vote for Freedom & the will of the people of New Hampshire their “party” is meaningless; they are simply “Patriots” in my opinion.) You can link in here to drop your Senator an Email of thanks: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/senate/members/
As for the others who voted for the “nanny state”, voted for our Employees (them) being able to tell their employers (us) what to do when we wake up in the morning, voted to take your hard earned money from your wallet by way of fines, well, we know who you are and I leave it to my fellow Citizens of New Hampshire to find a way to say ‘thanks for nothing’ to you people.
